Parsley Pear Green Smoothie

I never thought I’d enjoy drinking parsley during a green smoothie.

Parsley has such a robust, distinctive taste that I used to be quite sure I’d never find how to drink it (and actually enjoy it).
And then I stumbled onto this gem.






I love accidental discoveries.
I’ve created a number of my best recipes accidentally.
Well, this is often one of those sorts of recipes.
I just chucked for a little bit of everything that I had available. Some pears, some apples, a plum or two and much of bananas.


And what emerged was a sweet, gentle, amazing combination that nearly tastes like cinnamon.

Ingredients:

• 1 small bunch fresh parsley
• 1/2 med avocado
• 1 med Asian pear or apple pear
• 1 med pear
• 1 med apple , sweet e.g. Royal Gala
• 1 med apple , green e.g. Granny Smith

• 2 med plums
• 6 med bananas
• 1 cup of water
• 1 cup ice (200g)

Method:

1. Remove seed from plum, skin & seed from avocado, skin from bananas and stalks from pears and apples.
2. Chop fruit roughly.
3. Add ingredients to the blender within the 
order listed.
4. Blend until smooth and creamy.
